Saturday Doom Rant

It’s early Saturday and I am not at work. This is a good thing. With the end of the federal fiscal year, we have been furiously bidding all the year-end projects being proffered up by NASA, the USACE, Navy, USAF et. al. We will not know what, if anything we will add to our backlog for a week or three, leaving the office in a sort of limbostatic funk. We’re zombied out at this point, having merely spun our wheels the entire year, neither making nor losing money. The challenges in the market are monumental, with pricing so low we have been even more selective about what we bid than ever before. Projects which at one point would have seen only three or four local bidders, are now attracting thirty, forty and even fifty firms, all seeking the same thing; a profitable venture. The fear in the air has become like a permanent buzz in my head, never abating, just a continuous echo reminding me of my mortality.

A very powerful group of elites in Euroland will gather once again this weekend to attempt forestalling the complete collapse of the European monetary union. Failure to calm the people this weekend may well be the end for Europe. And, as we all know by now, if Europe falls, we fall. It will be a failure of biblical proportions, erasing our very way of life and plunging the entire world in to a depression so deep we may not see a recovery in our lifetimes. Meanwhile, Chaz Bono is to be featured on Dancing With the Stars. Apparently, in a celebration of transgender mainstreaming, the media has decided that my child will be subjected to something I am vociferously opposed to, an alternative lifestyle that should by rights, be kept behind closed doors, just as anyone else’s sex life should be. Instead, those who watch this ridiculous farce, will be brainwashed in to accepting it as normal, when it is anything but. Once again, I have been distracted just in time by the magical idiot box. Thank you MSM, I simply do not know what I would do without you. God forbid we have a national discussion about what ails our country and figure out how to change it. God forbid we dismantle the monopolistic corporations who are slowly bleeding the remnants of our manufacturing base to third world hellholes in the name of profit. No, we can’t do that, we’re too busy with our agenda. We’re too busy mainstreaming the fringe elements of society and pandering to special interests, all in the name of fairness and diversity.

TELEPOTUS addressed the nation the other night, ostensibly, to allay our fears and to attempt appearing somehow “presidential” and in charge. It didn’t work. The markets responded by plunging three hundred points in the States, and falling in to a black, deep hole in Europe. This shit is getting real and the Powers That Be don’t seem to have a plan or even a consensus. This is beyond frightening; it is a catastrophe that if not attended to in time, will be unstoppable. I have watched Societe General lose an enormous chunk of value in the last few weeks [10% in yesterday’s session alone], just as Bank of America gave back the Buffet Bounce in a mere week. Now sporting [just barely] stock prices of just seven measly dollars a share, BAC decided it was a good time to scare the hell out of her investors by announcing 40,000 layoffs. What the fuck are they thinking here? Is anyone in charge anymore, or has the conductor fallen asleep at the wheel? American banks, just as Europe’s banks are fundamentally insolvent, yet rather than allow bondholders to take the losses for the risk they took, TPTB are stealing future earnings from you, me, my child and her future children, in a vain attempt to keep those “investors” whole. Instead of slowly breaking these banks down to a more manageable size they have been permitted to double down on leverage, and they have increased, that’s right increased their credit default swaps and other fuzzy, unregulated bets.

What the hell happened to “risk”? Where in the prospectus does it say those who buy and hold private, corporate debt [bonds] are to be made whole no matter what happens, and to be made so with taxpayer money? You have been slowly and quietly subsumed in to the corporocratic, sociofascist collective; you weren’t consulted and you weren’t notified, they just did it.

When I am forced to buy something at Wally World the problem we have allowed to be created comes in to sharp focus. I see the entitled walmartians shuffling around the parking lagoon in a deep daze, seemingly unaware of their prisoner status, dutifully worshiping the great and powerful Walton Empire, blindly paying the alms they have been led to believe they owe. There now, that’s a good consumer! Will that be cash or credit? I feel the aura of their sense of entitlement and it frightens me. When I listen to the words of Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Maxine waters it is even more frightening than the walmartians for whom they demand ever more from those stupid enough to actually produce anything for themselves. These people want to enlarge the ranks of the entitled, not give them the education they need to shrug off the shackles of mediocrity.

I am quite beyond anger here, I am now truly afraid. I am not a coward by any definition of the word and never have been. I accept all challenges and do so willingly, but I have a deep and foreboding fear in my soul that something cataclysmic is about to occur, and there is no plan in place for the aftermath. This year’s riots in England and the previous year’s riots in France will look like a birthday party compared to what the entitled class will unleash on America. The cities will burn and the stores will be cleaned out, all of it will be done by those who have been taught that I owe them something.

A huge percentage of Americans are woefully unprepared for anything outside of status quo, and many will not only be unable to process what has happened, they have been wrongfully hypnotized in to believing FEMA or some other federal agency will come to the rescue; they will be wrong. Having missed the warning signs, or simply ignored them, they will likely starve. I will posit that none of those who read this have ever truly starved. I don’t mean missed a few meals; I mean true starvation. It is a gruesome way to die. Think about how fragile our distribution systems are, couple that with what in a complete collapse of credit, will be the absence of petroleum, and you have what we will experience. When credit [translation: Trust] collapses, everything stops, period. The production of food, medicine, motor fuels……….everything……stops and stops cold. Think food lines, think rolling blackouts, think rationing on a scale beyond what was seen during WWII.

The Brotherhood of Darkness has cocked it up good this time. They’ve lost control of the beast, or rather the beast has become sentient and refuses to be controlled, taking on a life of its own. With the metamorphosis now complete, and the beast unshackled, world financial systems may soon feel its wrath. Over this weekend, the power elites of Europe, and indeed the world, are likely huddled behind closed doors, scared shitless of what has happened and what will happen if they fail to dial this fucker down about five notches. We are literally less than 48 hours away from the start of something unthinkable. It’s time to put on a clean pair of big boy pants and buckle up.

Think it can’t happen here? Think the “government” has this on lockdown? If you do, then you will be among the first casualties. I have long held a pretty dystopian view of things in general. I have developed these feelings through both research and casual observations made during my daily activities. The elite, scumbag, greedy, selfish motherfuckers that brought us to this dark and scary place, ignored the hazards their actions would weave in to the fabric of the system. They ignored the pain that would come if the weaknesses they allowed to proliferate caused the system to break down. They are completely blind to the plight of the ‘common man’, and what it really takes to simply survive from day to day as a result of what they wrought in the name of money. It is not “us against them”, it is simply “them”. They do not even acknowledge us in any meaningful way. We are here to be milked for profits, nothing more and nothing less.

We are now facing the beast, and the beast is hungry. We had better pray

Sorry about the rant.
